The California 56 Collectors is a club that was established in 1996. It’s purpose continues to join like-minded people who share an interest in creating, promoting, and developing the ‘hands on’ skills needed to creatively display all things Department 56- accessories, related items. and products.
Situated in Southern California, our in-person meetings occur the 3rd Saturday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September, and November) often at Knott’s Berry Farm.  Our fun lunch time meetings include a short business meeting, lots of raffles, from door prizes to a professional quality vignette display, and a program highlighting the multiple villages our collectors enjoy. Programs can include special guests presenting skills and ideas, ‘make and takes’ where everyone gets an opportunity to create their own piece with an accomplished teacher as the guide, interviews and panel discussions about our interests or a fun diversion, like our annual Christmas party.  An outing is planned for our July meeting, where we might attend one of our sponsoring stores, discovering the new products that are available!
On the alternate months of February, April, June, August, October, and December a virtual meeting via Zoom is held on the 3rd Saturday of the month. These meetings include programming that teaches, highlights collections, and inspires the members!  Our FB Page has information about joining CA 56 Collectors. Plus, if you care to add yourself as an online member from anywhere in the U.S. or other parts of the Globe, you are more than welcomed!
